Tatyana Schlenoff grew up in the former USSR, where she started music school at 7 years old. At age 15 she was accepted into the Volgograd College of the Arts, and received 4 years of training there to perform as a concert pianist, accompanist, and piano teacher before returning to her former music school to teach piano and accompany choir and voice lessons for 13 years. During this time, Tatyana graduated from the Samara University of Arts as a choir director, voice teacher and an opera choir singer. In 1997, Tatyana moved to the United States, and has been teaching private piano and voice lessons, mostly within the Russian community. She is married and has two children; the oldest sings with our JCC Training Choir!
